On Friday 26’th of July 2013, at 19:oo took place the “Qualities of a leader” conference held by Ryan Howel (President Vision New England) and his assistant Bryan (HP supervisor).
Ryan is a pastor from the United States which has in subordination 12 employees and 200 volunteers. His assistant on the other hand, comes from the business world and coordinates around 250 employees at HP company. Both have shared with us their experiences and talked about their leadership principles which they use and give results.
In brief, they presented us the next 5 principles which stand at the basis of leadership:
1)Know your limits – work 6 days and rest on the 7’th
2)Perseverance – write everything you want to do that has more than 1 step
3)Discernment – a leader must learn something new each day
4)Humility – you must earn the heart of the people you lead
5)Courage – be brave and dare to make mistakes in order to learn
In the end Ryan’s reference quote was:
“Influence people to their greatness and you will have followers.”
