At the age of 21, Ana (a pseudonym for identity protection) has a unique story. A victim of human trafficking, the mother of a girl about a year and a half old, Ana makes every effort to regain her hope and lost confidence.

Due to material and financial shortcomings, Ana accepted a false job offer to go to the UK to work there, hoping for a decent and safe living. Arrived there, it turned out that labor recruiters are in fact pimps who coordinate an entire network of prostitution in the UK. For a long time Ana has been abused, beaten and forced to prostitute in order to remain alive. Having a courage specific to her youth, while being escorted by traffickers to one of her clients, Ana pulled out of the pimper’s hand and threw herself in front of a passing British police car. Thus, she managed to escape from the trafficking network, but the traces left by her traumas will never leave her.

Ana is now home in the country under the Social Assistance Directorate, her daughter is currently in custody of D.G.A.S.P.C. and she is always ready to move with her mother.

Ana managed to find a job, the Neamţ County Factory made a job and, more recently, the company offered to rent a studio. Although Ana will succeed in the minimal wage she earns to cover the monthly cost of a new lifestyle, the studio in which Ana moves needs little renovation work.

We, Valoare Plus Association in Bacau, together with volunteers from the regional project Stay Free – to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings, will carry out all the necessary work to help Ana to move to the studio. Instead, we need your help to buy the necessary materials, costing 2800 lei, including replacement of the flooring in the hallway and kitchen, full painting of the dwelling, painting of radiators and pipes, small repairs for a minimum comfort.
