Sunday, July 30, 2017 Valoare Plus Association celebrated the World Day of Human Trafficking through two public activities: a street theater, and public screening of a documentary on the reality of human trafficking in various parts of the world called Nefarious: Merchant of Souls.
The street theater was a reality-inspired situation of a boy who manages to seduce a girl from a dysfunctional family with the purpose of selling it on the black market of human trafficking beings. The girl falls into the net and the play finishes with the sad presentation of another news about how a girl was missing. Then the play was interpreted again in front of the audience, offering the opportunity to replace any character except the dealer, in order to avoid this sad final. With little effort from the audience, the story ended happier finalizing with the denunciation of this case to the police and the capture of a few traffickers.
The central message was to raise public awareness that everyone is responsible for exercising civic responsibility to fight the human trafficking problem that affects us all.
The activity ended with the outdoor screening of Nefarious: Merchant of Souls in front of the Bacau prefecture.
