To mark the Worlds Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, Value Plus Association organizes on Sunday, July 30, two activities within the Stay Free project – Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings.

Event schedule:

Between 18:00 and 20:00 in Tricolor Square in Bacău, we will have the Theater Outdoor Forum open for the first time. More than 15 volunteers will play in a play that highlights the phenomenon of trafficking in human beings. The community will have the opportunity to interact with the actors and to discuss social issues in the context of this phenomenon. The Forum Theater offers the grooms the opportunity to intervene in the play played by replacing the actors in order to create another final of the show. Please note that Romania, according to the report by GRETA (2016), has the highest number of victims of trafficking in Europe.

Between 20:30 and 22:30, in front of the Prefecture, we will have a screening of a documentary – Nefarious: Merchant of Souls (2011), which shows in depth the reality of the trafficking industry. The material is done by Benjamin Nolot in collaboration with the leaders of some international associations fighting this phenomenon. For the creation of this material, the authors studied the phenomenon of trafficking in 19 countries across 4 continents. This documentary is meant to present the harsh reality of modern slavery, to bring to light the injustices made in the shadow of millions of people and to show the victims’ recovery stories so as to inspire hope and courage for those who have lost freedom. The documentary contains violent scenes and is not recommended for children under 14 years of age. The villagers are waiting in Tricolor Square with blankets or blankets.

The “Keep Your Liberty” event is organized by Value Plus Association within the Stay Free project – Prevention and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and is under the auspices of Bacău – the Romanian Youth Capital. Partner in the project is the Swedish Alliance Mission Association.
