At the invitation of the Value Plus Association, its Excellency, Anneli Lindahl Kenny, Ambassador of Sweden to Bucharest, will pay a working visit between 5 and 6 May 2017 in Bacău County.

The schedule of this visit will begin as follows:

On May 5 at 14:00, His Excellency Anneli Lindahl Kenny will participate in the activity session, run by the Plus Value Association, at the Gymnasium School Nr. 1 in Valea Seacă, within the project “For a better future”. Through this project Value Plus Association provides support for about 100 students from a dysfunctional community in the communes: Valea Seaca, Turcului Bridge and Luncani. The support consists of post-school activities, through which children are academically assisted and character development programs. The project “For a Better Future” is implemented with the help of the humanitarian organization in Sweden: SAM-hjalp.

On May 6, 2017, Anneli Lindahl Kenny will open the regional conference “Keep Your Freedom! Human Trafficking Enslaves”, which will take place at the” Mihail Jora “Bacău Hall, starting at 10:00. The conference will take place within the Stay Free project – the prevention and fight against human trafficking, and aims to train over 300 volunteers from about 50 high schools participating in the project. Value Plus, supported by the Swedish Alliance Mission, is running the Stay Free project, starting September 15, 2016, in 8 counties in Romania, strongly affected by this phenomenon. More than 7,200 students from 68 high schools have been informed so far. The conference will be held in partnership with Bacau City Hall. Mr. Cosmin Necula, Mayor of Bacău, will be present at the event.

       “The presence of an EU ambassador to such an event certifies at least two things: The presence and magnitude of this negative phenomenon – human trafficking within the EU, and, secondly, recognition of the efficiency and importance that is the prevention and information as methods of combating human trafficking”declared Marian Pădureţ, president of Valoare Plus Association.
