Value Plus Association with Down Syndrome Association of Bacau and lively volunteers from Rotaract Club Bacau launched today January 19, 2013 the “Life Has Value” project which will run for a period of about two months, ending on March 23, 2013.

Target Group:
People with Down Syndrome in the city of Bacau. The criteria for those to be included in this project are the following:

• Minimum age – 6 years
• Availability of the parents to get involved by bringing their kids to the organized training
• A certain willingness on the part of the persons to participate in the program.

Purpose and Objectives:

1. We want to help, through sport, people with Down syndrome to develop trust in them and the skills they have.
2. We aim to raise awareness and to show both the value and qualities that people with Down Syndrome have.
3. We want to draw attention to the company’s competitive activity and show how important it is to worry about people with special needs and that they can be integrated into society at some level.

Trainings:

Today on March 23, 2013 the final match took place in the Project “Life Has Value”. We are very happy to have with us Mr. Dragos Luchian which rewarded all players that performed.

The project showed amazing progress. Individuals with Down Syndrome learning basic actions such as throwing the ball movement. A lesson that they will use their entire life.
